Is There a Key to Long Life?

Today’s question is…Is There a Key to Long Life?
And the answer is…
YES!

In Proverbs chapter 3 verses 1 and 2 the scripture reads:
My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
2 For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you.

As you can see there are three elements that God talks about which are unified and together are the key to long life.

First, what does the term, “my law” mean?
This term is God’s Law which means God’s Instruction.

Second, what does the term, “my commands” mean?
This term is also God’s Law and Instruction all of which is His Word that does not return void.

Third, what does the term “peace” mean?
Peace is the unwavering comfort and joy that can only come from ONE…Who Is The Great I AM.

All of these terms point to Yeshua Hamashaiach Who Is The Way.
Yeshua is God’s Living Word
Yeshua is The Living Torah
Yeshua is The Prince of Peace and therefore, true peace comes from Him

As the scripture tells, if we meditate on His Law, His Word day and night, if we write His commands on the tablets of our hearts length of days and long life will be added unto us and they will also add peace for this is the promise of God and we know His Word does not return void but withstands all forever and ever.

In Psalm 91:14-16 it says:
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Throughout the Bible, God has given an abundance of blessings. If we obey Him with humility, with an open and willing heart we can be partakers in the abundant blessings.
In Psalm 91 we receive a 24/7 lifetime of protection blessing. An abundant blessing in which God tells us and has shown us that by His own Hand He brings forth Salvation Who Is Yeshua our Gift and through Him is long life…a life of deliverance and a life of honor.
Just as God declares to us that knowing His NAME, setting our love through obedience upon Him, by calling on Him, He will be with us in trouble and The Great Shepherd will be with us every step of the way.

By The Mighty Arm of The Lord, He extends to us His promises and blessings; to those who believe and in the blessed hope of our Savior, work out our walk in faith through being reconciled unto God The Father through God The Son and living a life of gratitude, by showing our love for Him through obedience to Him. Keeping His Instruction written on the tablets of our hearts and our eyes on Him, praying always with humility, asking for forgiveness, and embracing God’s correction and chastening which is the evidence of The Holy Spirit Who guides us into all Truth and understanding.

Be holy for He Is Holy.
