The Misconception of Our Authority in Yeshua

Photo by Art Guzman on

In Romans Chapter 4 with key verses, 1 through 4 and 16-22 the Word details Abraham being justified by Faith. In this passage, the definitive role of the believer is stationed at the feet of our God who is the Head.

Verses 1 – 4 reads:
1 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

Verses 16-22 says:
Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Notice that full Authority belongs to the One who gives life and calls those to be as if they were. There is only One with The Power to give life and to GRANT eternal life or GIVE an eternal death sentence.

We can see also that David celebrated this same Truth in Romans 4: 5-8 with the key verses being 5 and 6:

5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

Some verses that have been misused are:

The first part of Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God;

and the second part of Romans 4:17
God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

In the book of Job, with a focus on Chapter 22…Job’s friend Eliphaz responds to him suggesting that Job made a declaration as opposed to believing and having faith in what God can do. This way of thinking was found to be in error according to the scriptures and not only did Job offer up an offering for this error and his friends distorted mindsets; their perception is that Job’s suffering was a punishment for sin.

God causes none of His servants to suffer innocently without recourse or deliverance.

They advised Job to repent and seek God’s mercy. We can read God’s response to the passage (Job 22), “Eliphaz Accuses Job of Wickedness”.

Also included is [key verse] Job 22:28 Eliphaz says; “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” (KJV)

These words were spoken by Eliphaz the Temanite, one of Job’s three friends who were rebuked by God in Job 42. Eliphaz does all of the speaking in Job 22. He also does the speaking in chapters 4, 5, and 15.

In Job 42:7 God said to Eliphaz, “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about Me, as my servant Job has.”

Also, we can see that Job was automatically protected as a child of the living God because he had a hedge of protection and was protected from & during the attacks of Satan. Where even the serpent had to admit that he could not do anything to Job because of this hedge meaning he had no authority to even be in the presence of Job.

God commanded Satan early on in the book of Job:

Job 1:12 NKJV
12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”

Job 2:6 NKJV
And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

In Nehemiah 9 The People Confess Their Sinsby this coming to The Throne of God with humility asking for forgiveness seeking His Face (meaning – to have a genuine desire to want to know our God to have a relationship with Him and then submitting their supplications and petitions understanding that this is the only way God will hear their prayers (meaning…God allowing their prayers to be heard) and now it is His decision to make regarding whether or not these prayers will be answered and/or heard.

This shows us we have the ability to choose but we can not even begin to think that we can command God to do anything.

Thank The Lord that He knows best every second of every hour.

I’m sure we can all think back to a time or a number of times when we prayed for something and if we had the ability to declare or call down these deliverances or blessings. Where would we be???…set apart from God.

Everything that God allows us to go through or doesn’t allow us to have is still for our own good because it brings us into a state of humility to ultimately draw us near Him. We have to keep in mind that there is a bigger picture and only God knows that bigger picture in its entirety.

God provides for His people…God delivers us out of all our troubles. He is in control…all we have to do is trust Him. And if we trust Him and we believe in Him, then we will be found to be faithful, we will be obedient and we will reverence and be grateful to The One Who was, Who is and Who is to come…The Gift of Salvation…The Gift Who Is our Messiah…King Yeshua.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We can find scripture, after scripture, after scripture that confirms time and time again The First and The Last…The Beginning and The End…The Creator of all things Who has The Ability and Power to Say what is allowed or not. We will find every servant of The Lord in a state of humility and reverencing Him when proclaiming His Omnipotence, His Goodness, His Grace, His Strength & His Ability to do any and everything.
If it were not so, then Yeshua our Gift of Salvation would not have come into the world to be The Teacher, The Comforter, The Example, and The Savior for all mankind.

We have to be mindful that there is a self-empowerment movement that has infiltrated the minds of many both those who are in the world and those who claim they are in the Body. However, we can not do as some of the early Israelites did and carry over the traditions & ideologies of men that are not established nor rooted in The Word.

When we mix and merge the world’s thoughts and understanding the gates can open up…BUT the question is whose gates are opening? The One from Above or the one from below?

Many are unlearned in The Ways of Lord and can be easily swayed by doctrines of demons because it comes in a pretty and positive package but as the old saying goes “All that glitters is not gold”. The serpent is cunning, crafty and will persuade, deceive & present the illusion through false doctrine.

We must bring everything to The Light which is The Word of God…The Light That Shines will highlight and correct all spots and blemishes of sin and validate the endurance of righteousness.

To have wisdom is to have the patience of saints. Do not be eager to dictate the manifesting of your purpose and destiny. For God knows all and will work all things for our good. We know from scripture that only God knows the full picture of our life.
Though God may allow us a measure of sight for ourselves or one another it is not for us to take control but for our Lord The Almighty to be glorified in Him using the lowly & meek vessel as a walking talking miracle.

Man has a tendency to want to be equal or bigger than God, The Most Holy One of Israel. We’ve seen this through history from the Tower of Babel even up to today. Man tends to seek after his own heart instead of seeking The Face of God.

The biggest misconception is thinking we have the ability to declare, decree, loose, and bind.

All things have been accomplished and conquered through our Savior.

Our Savior is The One who came down from His Throne to be made lower than the angels. The One who came into this world and was nailed on the cross bearing our iniquities and enduring the Wrath of God which is the reward of sin. Conquering death thereby loosening & removing our shackles and binding satan. The One Who gives life and has authority to kill not only the body but the soul is The Only One who has the Authority and Ability to do the impossible and make whatever He wills POSSIBLE.

If it were not so, then we would be equal with God…and we are not…we are to be humble servants of The Most High God.

Here’s are a few questions:
Can you call down a New Heaven and New Earth? Do you have this authority?
Can you bring down New Jerusalem?
Why not call or will or declare for Yeshua to come down from heaven?
Why not declare that the believers be “raptured”?
Why don’t you declare and decree that every sick person be healed?
Why not bind hunger and loose manna from heaven to feed the poverty-stricken?
Do you have control over these things?

We know that we live in a fallen world and by this, sin is running rampant and we see the ramifications of this sin in the world through sickness, death, and hunger among of things. There is Only One Way for the people and for the land to be healed and that is for God’s people to come before The Throne as stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

However pride and arrogance have been ushered in through false doctrine and those who claim they believe in Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh are too busy declaring, decree, loosing, and binding…too busy empowering self by removing The Great I AM.

Our confidence is in The Lord…Our boasting is in The Victory of our God and King. The only declarations in The Bible are in The Goodness, Faithfulness, and Tender Mercies of The Father and Son who are One.

Even the Heavens declare the Glory of God and The Creative & Awesome Works of His Hands!

Psalm 19:1 NKJV
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
We are to come together as one new man in Yeshua and be faithful. Trusting in The Almighty as Abraham the father of nations did and as we are now commanded to do. Knowing that The Great I AM can and will according to His Will and Everlasting Word.

Before closing, let’s see what The Head of The Kingdom Who is The Only One with the Ability to Declare…

In John 17:20-26
Our Messiah King Yeshua/Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Finally, let’s see what The King of kings and The Lord of lords has to say as He has been given all Authority by The Father

Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Our position in Christ is NOT to declare or decree …BUT to BELIEVE thereby having FAITH in The One Who has The Authority and The Only One that has the ability to declare in heaven and on earth.

My brothers and sisters, I say this with the Love of Christ…if you are knowingly partaking in any philosophy, ideology, movement, or fad which is set apart from God’s Word – repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent or perish.

We have a responsibility to not add or take away from this book called The Holy Scriptures, which is The Unwavering Everlasting Word of God. We are to respect His Living Scroll; standing boldly on The Foundational Cornerstone Who is our Christ and King. Having faith which is the substance of things hoped for according to Hebrews 11:1.

Our part is to be FAITHFUL to The True and Living God through believing and following His Beloved Son, Christ Jesus.

Trust in our God and King…honor the Father and Son through obedience which is the evidence of our love for Him Who first loved each and every one of us. This is the perfect revelation through The Holy Spirit Who has revealed to us our Messiah that we may know and follow the heritage and ways of The God and King of Israel.

Psalm 19 NKJV
The Perfect Revelation of the Lord

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.

2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,
And its circuit to the other end;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Yeshua has already declared His promise to us.

I AM is with always with us; enduring even to the end of the age….Trust in Him & obey God’s commands. Be faithful and of good courage & the never-ending abundance of His Glory will shine upon you.

I pray that you will go before God’s Throne of Grace and pray to The Father in this & in all things in Jesus’ name. Studying the scriptures which will provide direction, confirmation & correction, and The Holy Spirit Who teaches you & comforts you will bring you into remembrance of all things as well as into wisdom, knowledge & understanding according to The Father’s Word and Will.

There is only One I AM and He Is The God and King of Israel.

Be holy for He Is Holy.
