Seek First The Kingdom

Are there times when you seek meaningful relationships, friendships…meaningful connections?

Are there times when you seek the blueprint of what the world says is acceptable for standard living?

A benchmark…a badge of honor…proof of all your hardwork; laboring day in and day out…just one more “number” enduring the rat race?

Have you ever achieved some version of the cookie cutter dream only for it to turn into just that a sweet dream, lasting for only a night, then you realize your reality turned into a nightmare.

Those connections which you sought are brittle & idle and of no use when you’ve fallen.A once secure stabilized assurance is now uncertainty hanging in the bslance…the thread loosens. Your badge of honor has turned to shame; long gone from the assurance to stagnate and unsure.

You bear witness to the fireworks in your life turned from the brightly colored sparkled glimmer to slowly dissipating dust.

All that golden glitter shimmered for a moment and…now is gone.

When we seek after all that the world says is the standard of acceptable living, it’s not that we cannot attain those things. On the contrary, to till that sand requires a house to built on unstable ground. It can sway as the wind blows, get rocky when the current comes in and when the high tide( which will surely come) arises, everything will come crumbling down from the unwarranted pressure.

Loyal family become unreliable, lifelong friends are nowhere to be found and if you haven’t chosen wisely spouses or significant others can become unreasonable when they presented patience and understanding during calmer seasons in your life.

Everyone it seems can find the time for you when things are going well.

You live, experience and start to learn what lonliness feels like…what being along looks like.

But…

When you seek the Kingdom of Yah, Christ is always with you. His Peace…He gives to you. He replaces that mechanism of worry, with a comforting shield of Faith. When times are hard and turbulent like how the wind and waves can be…your foot slips but God’s mercy is enough to hold you up. (Psalm 94)

Don’t be like the gentiles of this world…seeking and clamoring after things…things that will one day turn to dust and rust…and dissolve just like broken connections because it wasn’t built on the Rock Who is Yahawashi, our Christ and King from the beginning. He wasn’t the center of those endeavors and relationships. The Lord our Most God, our Abba (Father) He is the Creator, The One Who Maintains and Sustains all things.

While we focus and seek most of our lives for the fireworks..they fizzle out.

Let us seek the Kingdom of Yah. For there in seeking Him first He will add unto His people all things. It will be like a beam of Light that never fades….Do Not Worry. (Matthew 6:25-34)

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one [j]cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Be holy for He is Holy

Ephesians 4:1-6

Walk in Unity

I, therefore, the prisoner of The Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were calledwith all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of The Spirit in the bond of peaceThere is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your callingone Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
