How many times have you been delivered out of your troubles? Many times…in fact, more than you know. The Lord delivers His people out of all of their troubles but oftentimes that is perceived as set backs; such as opportunities not working out in our favor.
For instance, you may notice that with your years of work experience you have endured abnormal turbulence. You may look back and see all of the times that you were consistently professional, polite, respectful; standing on the Foundation of God’s Holy Standard integrity in Christ. Therefore, putting your best effort & best foot forward in all of the projects and all of your duties that you completed.
And yet you can recall no justifiable reason for you to be without any one of those job opportunities that you once had…
If you’re not looking through the lens of holiness, then you may analyze these experiences with a perspective from the physical or earthly realm. As opposed to looking at each of these instances with the inclination of The Holy Spirit from a Biblical perspective with a spiritual lens.
You may view those opportunities from an earthly or worldly perspective as potential success that may have been partially or never received.
You may have also noticed that with each new opportunity that you obtained, there was more turbulence than the last opportunity; paired with no justifiable reason for you to have lost out on that opportunity as you were making great strides and progress in being an asset.
This example of your work experience is a concept that can be applied in other areas of your life whether it is regarding people, places or things.
The fact is God is in control…
He is The Author and Finisher, The Existent Everlasting Power of Life, The Creator of all and The Father of all. YHWH is the only Authority that has the ability to allow or disallow things to happen in all of our lives.
We may not always understand what or how or why or when these things happen… We may never know…or the mystery may be revealed in due season that we may gain understanding with the purpose of drawing near to Yeshua and His Faithful Father Yahawah.
These patterns of frustration that we can sometimes bring upon ourselves as the patterns are repetitive, we can learn the lessons that The Lord is teaching us through His Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, oftentimes His people are a stiff-necked people and are stubborn; going in their own way as opposed to following the Ways of God through obedience.
Instead of viewing these bouts of turbulence that end in the loss of a person, place or thing, we should pray that in those instances we will take a moment from our emotions which are reactions to what we endure… And pray that The Lord will reveal to us through spiritual eyes to see the mysteries of those things unseen.
That lost opportunity may bring a moment or a season of setback however, that lost opportunity is actually a blessing of deliverance. For we never know all that our Protector and All Consuming Fire is protecting us from. We may feel the effects and know of some things however, we cannot always see what is coming from afar.
All that is revealed is what is right before our eyes but the distance surrounding is only seen by our Lord.
He protects us from ourselves for although we may deem that a decision in the moment even with careful planning may appear to be the right way to go and will be helpful to us…it may not always be beneficial.
Although it may be hard in the moment it’s never easy to hear or see something that appears to be helpful not work out.
However, The Lord is not allowing those things to work out because He is trying to deliver you for the purpose of bringing you to a higher place.
Most times it will cause turbulence and the more you have these similar opportunities or similar patterns and occurrences, the more turbulence you’ll experience because the battles become more intense.
If we compare where we are today versus where we were yesterday, we can recall many instances of deliverance that we called lost opportunities, lost successes, lost possessions, lost relationships, etc.
Surely, we can also see that through those losses they were deliverances out of strongholds, out of environments that harbored spiritual attacks and were smokescreens to occupy our focus and steal our time that was already predestined by our God for the purpose and identity of His Will that He may be pleased with us as His servants in stewarding beneficial matters.
To avoid more intense battles, we have to take heed and use discernment through The Holy Spirit to recognize these reoccurring patterns in our lives that keep us stuck in a perpetual cycle to keep our focus off of God and on ourselves and our ambitions… or oppositions and spiritual attacks.
Nevertheless, just as Peter needed to keep his eyes on Yeshua and stay focused on Him as he walked upon the deep waters following The Example of Messiah, following His Instruction and taking heed to the calling of His Voice, we too must focus on The Lord and take heed to the Instruction/Commandments of God.
Psalm 124
The Lord the Defense of His People

124 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,”
Let Israel now say—
2 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
When men rose up against us,
3 Then they would have swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us;
4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have gone over our soul;
5 Then the swollen waters
Would have gone over our soul.”
6 Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
7 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
Be holy for He Is Holy.
