Who Are the 144,000?

The 144,000 are the one-third of the Israelites who are of the Hebraic lineage from the line of Jacob.

The kings are from the southern kingdom of Judah and are the descendants and surviving royal bloodline of the Davidic Dynasty i.e. Judah. Saul, the first king of Israel was from the tribe of Benjamin also of the southern kingdom. The lost sheep of the House of Israel consists of the northern kingdom made up of the remaining 10 tribes.

The 12 tribes united in this last hour are not lost at all. In fact, the living descendants of these Hebrew tribes are still scattered among the nations, but are waking up to the Truth of who they are. They are the one-third surviving descendants that are in covenant with God by obeying His commands, therefore, keeping YHWH’s heritage given to His people in the ancient days when He established His covenant with the House of Israel.

Revelation 7:1-8

The Sealed of Israel

7 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. ² Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, ³ saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” ⁴ And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

⁵ of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
⁶ of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
⁷ of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
⁸ of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.

Who Are the Multitude from the Great Tribulation?

According to Genesis Chapter 1 in the 6th day there was a multitude that God created that was separate from His chosen people whom He created in the 8th day according to Genesis Chapter 2.

In Revelation Chapter 7 we can see in verses 9 through 17 if there is a great multitude of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues that rejoice and worship The Lord in the midst of His throne.

We can see from this last hour that many hearts have grown cold but we can also read The Holy scriptures and see that throughout the ages there have been many people’s among the nations that have heard The Gospel of Yeshua.

Indeed they are separate from the chosen of God who are the lineage and physical bloodline of Jacob. However, we see that there is a separate multitude of people that have gathered together to worship The Lord in uprightness because they too have obeyed the Covenant of God.

The meaning of multitude is a large number of people or things. Surely, John within the vision revealed, did not know the number of people that stood before the throne of God. However, he was able to describe that it was a multitude meaning a large number of people.

Just as if you looked among a large group of concert goers you could consider them a multitude of people attending a concert but compared to the population of the entire world it would still be very few.

This is a similar concept that we can apply to this passage in describing the multitude from the Great tribulation.

To stand before the throne of The Lord is to stand uprightly because who can stand in the midst of God when they are fellowshipping with darkness?

This passage of the vision of John that God allowed him to see is evidence that those who were able to stand in the midst before the throne of The Lamb clothed in white robes meaning they were found to be righteous, waving the palm branches, and crying aloud were recipients of Salvation that endured the process of Sanctification just as the chosen people of God the remaining 1/3 of the Israelites were found to be whole and complete in God’s Will according to His Holy Standard and are found to be righteous.

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, ¹⁰ and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” ¹¹ All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, ¹² saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

¹³ Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

¹⁴ And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
